Workshop in Banja Luka (within the Project “EU 4 Better Civil Protection”)

On 28th and 29th of November in hotel Jelena Banja Luka was held workshop Support for implementation of the Cooperation Protocol and establishment of the contact point for cooperation with Union Civil Protection Mechanism, within WP1. Civil Protection Capacity building, according to defined activities of the Project „EU 4 Better Civil Protection – Capacity building and preparation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Union Civil Protection Mechanism“. Organizers are Civil Protection Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior Republic of Croatia and Association for Risk Management AZUR Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Participants on the workshops are members of Ministry of Security Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federal Civil Protection Administration of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic Administration of Civil Protection Republic of Srpska, Department of Public Safety of the Brcko District, as well as representatives of the Security Research Centre.

Workshop lectures included presentations of BiH’s experience in the coordination of international help, preparations for implementation of three exercises and its analysis, presentation of available mechanisms and innovative solutions as well as experience of the Republic of Croatia regarding refugee crisis 2015/2016.

Lecturers are eminent experts, mr Robert Mikac and mr Krunoslav Katić.
