Closing Ceremony of the Project “EU 4 Better Civil Protection”

It is our pleasure and honor to inform you that, as part of the implementation of the project “EU 4 Better Civil Protection – Capacity building and preparation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union”, which was implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia – Directorate of Civil Protection and The Association for Risk Management AZUR organized the Project Closing Conference as the final step in the successful completion of project activities.

The Conference was attended by high-ranking domestic and international dignitaries, representatives of the academic community, the professional and scientific public, as well as the implementers and beneficiaries of the “EU 4 Better Civil Protection” project. The Conference was addressed by representatives of DG ECHO, the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the project partners of the Ministry of Security / Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection, the Republican Administration of Civil Protection of Republika Srpska, and the Department for Public Safety and Security of the Brčko District of BiH.

On that occasion, the consortium partners presented the activities carried out as part of the project in all work packages, which symbolically marked the last activity of this project.

About the project:

The project is funded by the European Union through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) in the amount of 1,480 mil. €, and the duration of the project is from March 1, 2019. to November 1 2021.

The project is divided into five work packages.

The general goal of the Project is to reduce vulnerability to natural and other disasters, at all levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The conference was held on October 22, 2021. year, at the location of Hotel Holiday Sarajevo, with the application of all epidemiological and security measures. Only subjects and institutions that received an invitation to participate were able to attend, because there was a limit on the number of people in a closed area due to the corona virus.
