CMI Course, Jahorina, 5/23 – 05/28/2021

From 05/23/2021. – 05/28/2021 on Jahorina (Hotel Vučko), CMI Course is held, implemented within the EU project for better civil protection in order to to strengthen the capacity of civil protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the way to the accession of civil protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Union Mechanism for civil protection.

Representatives of the Ministry of Security of BiH, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection, the Civil Protection Administration of the Republic of Srpska, and the Department of Public Safety of the Brčko District of BiH participated in the course as project beneficiaries and participants.

The main goal of the course is to acquaint participants with the basic preconditions of working within the Union Civil Protection Mechanism, and to provide participants and members of operational forces with a basis for further training that will enable them to participate in international civil protection operations conducted under the auspices of the European Union.

CMI Course was organized by the project leader, a consortium of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia and the Association for Risk Management AZUR, through the project “EU for better civil protection – capacity building and preparation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Union Civil Protection Mechanism”, with eminent lecturers and instructors from the European Union.

The ceremonial opening of the course was conducted by Mr. Damir Trut, director of the Directorate of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia and the project manager, Mr. Milan Novitović, director of the Republic Administration of Civil Protection of the Republic of Croatia. of Republika Srpska, and Haris Delić, president of the Association for Risk Management. The aforementioned expressed their satisfaction with the continuation of activities within the project “EU for better civil protection”, and on this occasion they gave full support to the project and the course, and the participants wished success in the project and business activities.

On days, 05/23 – 05/26/2021. the preparation for the exercise was made, planned for May 27, 2021.

This exercise was directly followed and attended by the representative of the Delegation of the European Union Biljana Tomić, program manager, and the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotić.

On 05/27/2021. an exercise was held as part of the CMI Course, where project beneficiaries – members of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Civil Protection Administration of the Republic of Srpska, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection and the Department of Public Safety Brčko District BiH demonstrated acquired and improved knowledge in accordance with with EU practice.

On May 28, 2021, the CMI Course was successfully completed as part of the CMI Course, and on this occasion the beneficiaries of the project were members of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republican Administration of Civil Protection of the Republic of Srpska, the Federal Administration of Civil Protection and the Department of Public Safety of the Brčko District of BiH. , received certificates of passing the Course.

As part of the 5-day course, the participants were introduced to the basic system of work within the Union Mechanism for Civil Protection, and on this occasion members of the BiH operational forces were given the necessary skills that will enable them to participate in international civil protection operations, which are carried out under the auspices of the European Union .
